Smarter design, better value, and built to last – that’s the Expandable Empire difference.

We take quality and compliance seriously.

When paired with our trailers, our moveable dwellings are officially classed as caravans, meeting the Caravan Standards of Australia for seamless setup in more locations.

These moveable dwellings are not Class 1a Buildings, Every detail is built to last, we spend thousands of dollars more to ensure the following:

  • 100% SAA-certified electrical components
  • 100% Watermark-certified plumbing fixtures for reliability
  • 100% Asbestos Free Certification
  • Fire Resistance Certification
  • 100% Australian complied and stamped electrical wiring from non-migratable cables, sockets, switches and circuit board with 2 breakers.
  • Lead-free paint and components
  • WELS Rated and approved water efficiency labelling for sinks, tapware, shower and toilets

When on a trailer, our tiny homes are technically a caravan, and as long as you comply with your relevant State/local Legislation you can occupy the caravan without the need for prior council approval.

Different states have different legislation.

Every region is different, and we’re here to help. Get in touch with our team at Expandable Empire, and we’ll assist you in navigating the local regulations for your area – so you can move in with confidence.

Getting your Expandable Empire home up and running is easy.

Power: Just plug in with a 15-amp extension lead, just like you would with a standard caravan.

Water & Sewerage: Simply connect a water to your unit – no complicated setup required. In Australia you must use a qualified plumber, and some councils require approval for Sewerage connections.

Hot Water System (HWS): Supply and installation are required. If you’re using gas, it must be certified by a licensed plumber or gas fitter.

It’s a quick, no-fuss connection designed for flexibility, convenience, and hassle-free living. All electricity and plumbing to the units are complete and just require a simple plug and play setup.

Other Tiny Home companies might not tell you this…

Because Expandable Empire Tiny Homes are built with steel construction, compact layouts, and high-quality thick insulation, some condensation may occur in certain climates or weather conditions – particularly in areas with high humidity or poor airflow.

If you notice condensation forming inside your unit, there are simple ways to manage it:

  • Install ventilation to improve airflow
  • Use Damp-Aid or moisture absorbers
  • Consider a small dehumidifier for consistent moisture control
  • Use a Reverse Cycle Aircon with the dehumidifier function

These small additions can make a big difference in keeping your space dry, comfortable, and fresh all year round

With Expandable Empire, your home is more than just a floor plan – it’s a custom-built space designed around your lifestyle.

Planning rules vary across states and councils. For example, NSW State Government allows one caravan to be occupied full-time by a household member without the need for council approval.
